BSkyB is launching a multi-million pound triple play campaign, throwing down the gauntlet to NTL ahead of its re-branding as Virgin Media.

See, Speak, Surf includes all basic Sky channels, free UK landline evening and weekend calls from Sky Talk and up to 8MB download speeds with a free wireless router and full security package. The set of products are available at £26 per month plus a £20 connection fee and £11 monthly BT line rental.

Sky's chief executive James Murdoch said: 'Our aim is to bring together TV, broadband and telephony in a way that challenges the established players and raises the bar for quality and value.'

It will be made available to 70% of UK households.

NTL will re-brand as Virgin Media this quarter.
