The number of visitors attending for two or more days was up by 5% on last year’s show, with some 15,000 people attending the three-day trade show.

The move from Earls Court to ExCel, next to London City Airport, appears to have helped boost the number of overseas attendees, with a 57% increase in international visitors.

Organisers also reported record onsite re-bookings, with current exhibitors committing to 70% of the floorspace for BVE 2014, which takes place from 25-27 February 2014.

BVE event director James Rowley-Ashwood said: “The show was a phenomenal success for both exhibitors and visitors.

“The feedback we have received has been overwhelmingly positive and constructive, and footfall shows that the industry supports the move to ExCeL. It has given us a great foundation to build on for next year’s event.”

AC Entertainment Technologies won the award for Best New Product Launch, while the stand prizes were awarded to CVP for Best Space Only stand, Audio-Technica for Best Shell Scheme stand and Blue Skies for Best Shell Scheme stand in Production Services area.

Meanwhile, BVE North, held at Manchester Central, has been confirmed to take place on 12-13 November 2013.
