Broadcast Video Expo and WFTV are hosting a drinks reception on Wednesday (18 February) to celebrate women in the broadcast industry.

Kate Kinninmont, the chief executive of the WFTV (Women in Film and Television), will be joined for a keynote address by financial entrepreneur Ann Kristen Glenster.

BVE exhibition director Charlotte Bowskill said: 'The aim of this reception with the WFTV is to bring women in the industry together in a relaxed environment and to be able to share expertise, ideas and contacts with the added benefit of attending an exhibition during the day which is also relevant to their job roles'.

This reception is sponsored by ProMotion and Bubble & Squeak.

WFTV is also sponsoring a seminar on Thursday 19 February, at 1:30 PM. It will feature etv head of development Lyndsay Duthie (a WFTV board member) and etv development manager James Penfold, talking about "TV Anywhere and Everywhere: Navigating the New Multiplatform World."

Women in Film and Television is an organisation for women working in the Film, Television and Digital Media industries in the UK. It is an international group with 10,000 members.

Broadcast Video Expo takes place from 17-19 February in London's Earls Court 2.
