Film and TV hire company VFG has taken on hire specialist Alastair Campbell to head its relaunched camera, lighting and grip hire business in Glasgow. The business was scaled back last year as part of attempts to stem the group's losses through restructuring. The group subsequently went into administration but the hire business was the subject of a management buyout led by executive chairman Bill Gore five months ago (Broadcast, 25.1.02).
