An updated version of the 5D Mark II, which Canon says offers greater speed, resolution and enhanced processing power.

What’s new? The camera has a newly developed 22.3 megapixel full-frame sensor for stills and HD video.

Additional video functions include manual exposure control and an enhanced range of high bit-rate video compression options that support intraframe and interframe methods.

Frame rates range from 24fps to 60fps and the camera supports SMPTE time code for integration into multi-camera shoots. A headphone socket allows for sound level monitoring.

How much is it and how do I find out more? The camera will be available at the end of March for £2,999. Visit www.canon.co.uk for more information.
