US-based communications, tech and digital media company Cartesian has signed a deal to acquire Farncombe Technology.

Farncombe offers technical and strategy consulting, implementation services, content security and testing for the TV industry.

Headquartered in Basingstoke and with an office in France, Farncombe’s client roster includes service providers, broadcasters, platform operators and technology firms.

“In addition to serving a complementary client base, Farncombe better positions Cartesian to support the growing digital TV needs of communications service providers in North America and EMEA,” said Cartesian chief executive Peter Woodward.

“We expect the acquisition to be accretive and provide tremendous cross-selling and upselling opportunities across our combined customer base, particularly in strategy and analytics.”
