Channel 4 has commissioned a 90-minute Christmas special of its hit drama Shameless. The Paul Abbott-scripted show, made by Company Pictures, will start filming in two weeks' time. C4 head of drama John Yorke commissioned the show. A second series of 8 x 60-minute episodes is also in production.
