Former BBC head of production Paul Richmond is to work in an advisory role with The Coach House Studios as the editing facility looks to widen its customer base.

The Shepherd's Bush-based company is pushing a range of services that combine traditional work flows with the latest technology, providing systems that it hopes will enable clients to be creative while reducing costs.

Richmond's role will be to help the company to market these new services and working practices.

Managing director John Walbeoffe said: “As finance becomes tighter, productions are even more focused on making cost savings but still need to retain production values. We can help them achieve this and Paul's vast industry experience will prove invaluable in helping us get this message out. "

As well as providing offline edit suites in West London, The Coach House Studios specialises in supplying and supporting large networked nonlinear multi-suite editing systems on location.

The company works on a wide range of programmes genres and has credits that include Holby City (pictured), Last of the Summer Wine and Poirot.
