Concrete has recruited a new senior Smoke artist.

Marcus Millichope joins from M2, where he was a senior editbox and Smoke artist from 2004.

Having joined Telecine as a runner in 1989, Millichope worked his way up to editbox operator before moving to XTV and then on to The Farm in 2000.

His credits include the design and creation of titles for Holby City and Grumpy Old Men and visual effects on the first series of The Mighty Boosh (pictured).

“We have wanted to bring Marcus to Concrete for some time,” said David Cox, the company's joint managing director.

“He is one of the very best in the business and will fit perfectly into Concrete's already strong team of creatives.
