Nico Cotta worked on the Barcadi ‘Sun' commercial that was nominated for a Visual Effects Society award earlier this year.
He joins Smoke and Mirrors from the Moving Picture Company where he worked for five years.
Cotta's other credits include:
A stop motion advert for Dougal Wilson and the Big Yellow Storage Company;

And a pop promo for The Killers' single ‘Bones, directed by Tim Burton.
“We're really excited about Nico joining us,” said Smoke and Mirrors chief executive Penny Verbe. “He's a big level person who has worked with lots of talented people.”
France born Cotta started work at Smoke and Mirrors this week (Monday 7 April 2008).
