Crow TV is embarking on a series of upgrades that will enable it to offer file-based delivery to broadcasters within the next year.

The West London post house is selecting a file transfer system and boosting its internet bandwidth. It will also shift to Pro Tools version 10 and upgrade its online suites to Avid Symphony.

Managing director Max McGonigal, who took over from Will O’Connor at the start of the year, said: “We are ahead of the tapeless curve with our client viewing and remote logging tool, and now I want to kick-start file delivery.”

McGonigal added that lifestyle and factual specialist Crow was looking to broaden its range of clients. “The TV landscape is changing and margins in post are getting slimmer. We are focused on our traditional TV clients but we need to win other types of work, such as web content and corporate,” he said.
