Do you agree with staff rewards system

In a new book titled Is The BBC In Crisis?, director of television Danny Cohen has raised the issue of how best to incentivise staff – arguing that it is “not unreasonable” for people to be financially compensated for creating hit shows.

While the plans remain at an early stage, Cohen believes the move could result in staff creating better IP, which will ultimately secure greater sales and return more money to the licence-fee payer.

Is the strategy sound?

Should BBC staff benefit from the success of a successful show?

Or is heading towards a rewards-based system a dangerous precedent to set?
