Desperate Housewives weekly mobile recaps made by Buena Vista International scooped the Orange grand prize for best innovation in mobile content at the inaugural Mobile TV Awards.

Announced at Mipcom this week Dateline by YooMedia Mobile won the best mobile TV channel or service, and Pete Tong's Fast Trax from Inventa Productions won the audience best show prize.

Other UK programmes recognised for their compelling content, concept or features were Bus Project by MTV Networks International, Blaze by First Person Media and Jamie's Mobile Kitchen by Inventa.

Mark Selby, president of the international grand jury, said the winners illustrated that "good content travels across platforms". "Innovation in this medium can come from anyone," he added.

The ceremony was presented by TV presenter Ray Cokes.
