Soho-based DVD and post-production facility DGP has hired former Evolutions head of graphics Frankie Jacobs to boost the company's broadcast portfolio.

Jacobs, who joins as account manager for DGP's broadcast post-production department, will be responsible for developing new business and producing at the 50-strong Greek Street facility.

Last month DGP signed off on a lease which added an extra 2,000sq ft to its existing 6,000sq ft office space and completed its£350,000 investment in kit and space with the latest versions of Flame and Flint - version 9.5. The move is to accommodate the expanding demand in multi-resolution and HD post as well as in HD DVD menu design.

DGP offers eight Avid Symphony suites as well and graphic design and compositing with its Discreet Flame suite and Flint. Recent post jobs include work for MTV and Jetix.
