Digital Video Systems (DVS) will use NAB to launch a new management tool that offers control over both the DVS-SAN storage system and other technologies working with it.

The management tool comes with monitoring and reporting features to inform users about the configuration, size and workload of the DVS-SAN. It also offers detection and prevention of possible malfunctions.

DVS-SAN is a central storage system for uncompressed and compressed video and digital film. It has been designed for use in the film and HD post production environment, where large amounts of data must be accessed in real time by multiple workstations.

Also on show at NAB will be:

  • The DI workstation Clipster which supports all conforming steps in a DI project. Alongside the insertion of multiple EDLs into the timeline, Clipster also offers features for browsing, organizing and modifying high-resolution data.

  • A SpycerBox cluster solution based on SpycerLink technology. Clustering and the SpycerBox facilitates the building of powerful DI networks that can be easily increased in size.

  • The Pronto3, a digital disk recorder that handles compressed and uncompressed HD and 2K data material. It has simple options such as record and play-out of film and video data and more advanced options that allow interfaces, color depth, and image formats to be adapted to the working environment.

Digital Video Systems makes hardware and software for professional film post production.
