Soho post house Eikon is moving to a new facility on Golden Square that is more than twice the size of its previous HQ on Poland Street.

The two-floor facility will cover 6,000 sq ft, providing space for an additional four suites to take the total to seven, plus a third screening room.

Eikon offers digital mastering, versioning, design and VFX, screening and quality control services to TV, film and digital producers, distributors and broadcasters.

As part of the relocation, an additional 10 members of staff will be recruited for its graphics and subtitling departments.

Chief commercial officer Richard Fish told Broadcast: “Our continued core business commitments of investment in technology, innovation and scale made a new building in the heart of Soho a necessity. It’s double the size of our current facility, helping us extend further into other media services.”

The new facility will be ready by the end of July following a five-month build. Eikon will exit its Poland Street facility in September.
