Envy has taken delivery of the first Avid S6 control surface in central London.

The system has been installed in a suite at Envy’s Rathbone Place premises.

Envy opted for an 8-fader M10 S6 with Pro Tools HDX and version 11 software, supplied by Scrub, a division of HHB Communications.

Envy dubbing mixer Rich Martin described the S6 as “an extremely powerful console with a very smooth workflow”.

“We first saw the S6 at Scrub’s Soho preview event and immediately knew that it would be perfect for our new audio suites, and the ability to select the individual modules to match our needs was a major selling point.

“Scrub was very helpful throughout the installation process and configured it onsite in an arrangement that matches the workflow of our engineers.”

Head of Scrub sales Ben Scully added: Envy is one of the biggest Avid Icon users in Soho, so it is no surprise that they are the first adopters of the S6 system.

“The S6 can be custom configured in a variety of layouts and built up over time as the user’s needs increase. Our customers have found S6 to be an extremely flexible and powerful system with the tools to suit any workflow.”
