Chief executive and co-founder of EVS Pierre L’Hoest has resigned from the broadcast equipment company.

A spokesman said L’Hoest (pictured) left EVS following a disagreement over the reorganisation of the company’s management team.

“A couple of years ago EVS began implementing a reorganisation plan due to the company’s significant growth,” he said.

“The appointment of a new chief executive is part of this plan. Recent disagreements over the reorganisation of the management team however have accelerated the process and lead Pierre L’Hoest to resign from his position.”

Managing director and fellow co-founder Michel Counson has taken on the role of chief technical officer while Jacques Galloy has assumed the roles of director and chief financial officer.

Luc Doneux has been appointed head of EMEA, APAC and major events.

In a statement, EVS said the company had experienced “rapid growth and significant success in new market segments which has doubled the workforce in the last 3 years”.

“It is this impressive growth and prospects for the coming years that required a new system of governance.”

EVS said a new management structure will be announced “early 2012”.
