IBC 2015: Facilis Technology and Marquis Broadcast have announced further integration of the companies’ Project Parking and TerraBlock products.

As a result of this partnership, Project Parking will be able to use Facilis’ TerraBlock shared storage solution within Avid-centric workflows.

If required, Project Parking can also use the TerraBlock system as the destination storage device within an Avid workflow.

Project Parking offers a toolset for analysing and managing media to optimise shared storage utilisation.

The application analyses all Avid projects and media and identifies which projects are using up most space and takes appropriate action to transfer, archive or delete.

It allows the analysis of all Avid projects and workspaces on shared edit storage by size, age and location.

Projects can be copied to any storage device, taken offsite to re-edit and then later merged back on-line.

“Our customers live in a world where multi-vendor architectures are a fact of life and third party interoperability is a requirement,” said Facilis Technology vice president of marketing James McKenna.

“Project Parking provides an elegant project management workflow for post production facilities and broadcasters.

“With these products working together, our customers with Avid products can now opt for an integrated toolset that will streamline project management and efficiently organise storage capacity.”
