VFX house 1920 is expanding its London facility, taking up several new rooms at its Farringdon offices.

The new space will be used for production and tech support, desks for four VFX artists, as well as additional client space. Some of the existing office will be converted into a bar for clients, as well as housing another 16 VFX artists, a Baselight grading suite and several VFX suites. The additional space sees the facility grow by 50%, going up to 3750 sq ft.

Roughly 65 employees can work out of 1920’s London office, with another 20 in Bristol and 16 in Bangalore. It recently renewed the lease on its Bristol base.

Recent work has included Apple TV+’s Slow Horses and HBO’s True Detective, as well as Prime Video and Sky productions. On the commercial side, it has worked with clients such as Ikea and Xbox.

Construction on the new space and conversion of the existing area will begin at the end of this month, with the work set to be completed in the autumn.
