The Final Cut Pro Users Group will be holding a meeting at IBC for the first time this year.

The grass-roots user event for both Mac and PC video professionals is hugely popular in America with the “Supermeet” at NAB attracting more than 1500 people.

The Daniel Berube of the Boston Final Cut Pro User Group and Michael Horton of the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group are behind the Amsterdam event and have promised to deliver the same type of self-funded shindig as they have done in the US.

Each event includes entertainment and prize giveaways.

The IBC FCP Users Group meeting takes place on September 14, 2008 from 7pm at the "Gashouder" building in the grounds of the Culture Park Westergasfabriek.
