A British-based 'render farm' called Render-it, which launches next month, is promising to cut the time needed to post-produce graphics and animation by up to 90 per cent. The 82-processor network, currently being tested, supports programmes including Maya and 3ds max and gives producers and animators the option to outsource their rendering work. Render-it is the first company in the UK to offer just animation rendering services.
