Evolutions has appointed four new members of staff and won a competitive tender to continue post-producing Top Gear for the BBC.

Dubbing mixer Michael Wood, producer Hannah Kerr, engineer Julia Newton and technical operator Adrian Bell all join from the now defunct Resolution.

They will be based across Evolutions' four London sites. The facility employs 150 staff in total.

Evolutions also recently won the contract to post-produce Top Gear. It has provided full post on the programme since series six and was part of a competitive tender that took place in December 2007.

The renewed contract for series 11 and 12, both to transmit in 2008, will start in March and will also include a one-off special.

Evolutions launched as a buyout from ITN in 1994, moving to Berners Street in 2000. Another management buyout in 2004 was the precursor to a period of growth and expansion, culminating in March 2006 with the acquisition of Nats Post Production.

Evolutions is reputed to be the largest independent full service post production facility in Soho.
