Framestore CFC has appointed corporate finance advisors Hawkpoint Partners to help it secure external investment.

Chief executive William Sargent says funding could enable international expansion and allow the company to continue to co-produce feature films.

“Our ambitions depend in part on the partners we find,” explained Sargent.

“Companies funded on private capital can only invest and risk so much but we need investment to expand into new markets”, he added. “We would be looking to partner with investors that understand the media sector.”

The company made the decision to seek investment in the first half of 2007.

Projects undertaken by Framestore CFC include the BBC's Walking with... . programmes and ITV's Primeval.

The company has worked on five feature films this year including Heyday Films' The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas.
