Frontier Post has been wound down citing high overheads and falling rates within the broadcast market.

Managing director Neil Hatton and 70% of staff at the facility have joined the Television Set group at its Arena P3 premises in London’s Newman Street.

Hatton will oversee the day-to-day running of Arena P3 and the TV Set group, with Dave Thompson and Terry Bettles retaining their positions as directors in a strategic role.

The company will pursue new areas of business in addition to the existing broadcast and corporate programme markets.

Hatton acknowledged that Frontier Post had been constrained in terms of resources - it was only a third of the size of Arena P3.

The latter benefits from HD tape grading, a 24-hour multi-format deliverables and replication operation, telecine, and DVD authoring.
