Gearhouse Broadcast is providing broadcast and technical facilities in Costa Rica for coverage of the US version of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!

The ITV Studios show will be provided with flyaway production and audio galleries, a Master Control Room and set-ups for camera control and VT.

Gearhouse will also supply technical and engineering support and cable riggers.

To capture all the action, Gearhouse Broadcast will provide Sony HDC 1500 cameras, a Sony MVS 8000 vision mixer, Pro-Bel router and Calrec audio desk.

Gearhouse Broadcast technical director Simon Atkinson said: ‘This new commission for I’m a Celebrity came out of the blue, and to find it was going to be in a new country and a new continent just added to the challenge. It has been a tough exercise turning the equipment around from I’m A Celebrity in Australia and ship it to Costa Rica in the time given, but having worked on various projects for I’m A Celebrity with UK and German clients we had all the prior knowledge and expertise to deliver the best technical solution for the show in a short period of time’.

I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! airs on NBC for four weeks beginning 1 June 2009.
