Granada director of resources (North) John Surtees has shuffled his senior executive team to create a single management structure for the Leeds and Manchester-based resources.

Under the new structure, which will operate under the working title of Northern Resources, post and studios departments work will be managed "cross-Pennines" from January.

Paul Bennett, who is currently controller of operations at Carlton Studios in Nottingham, will join as head of studios and location services and will take on responsibility for the studios' operations in both Leeds and Manchester (3sixtymedia) plus the location hire business and all sales and marketing activities across Northern Resources.

Lance Tattersall, who was previously head of creative services at YTV, will become head of post-production across Leeds and Manchester. 3sixtymedia head of engineering John O'Shaughnessy will become head of technology services, while Matt Cleary becomes head of resource services, Manchester. Jim Richardson takes up a similar role in Leeds.

The restructure could also result in some redundancies. Staff are currently in consultation with management.
