Former Red Bee Media executive Alan Wright has joined broadcast technology manufacturer Grass Valley.

The US-headquartered company has appointed Wright as senior vice president of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Wright joins Grass Valley from Red Bee Media, where he was chief commercial officer and looked after sales and marketing and product management.

Prior to Red Bee, which he left at the end of February, Wright was senior vice president of business development and sales and marketing at Technicolor.

Wright has been tasked with helping Grass Valley’s EMEA customers migrate to file-based systems.

“I plan to use my background in technology and professional service companies to drive the company into new areas,” Wright said.

Wright will be based in the UK and will report to executive vice president Jeff Rosica.
