Grass Valley has appointed a new regional director for Northern Europe.

Sally Wallington will be responsible for growing the company’s market share across all product lines in the “key” region.

She joins Grass Valley from Harris Broadcast, where she was regional director for the UK, Ireland and South Africa for the past five years.

Grass Valley senior vice president for EMEA Said Bacho said: “Following a successful year in 2013 and as we continue to foster new sales across Europe, specifically in the UK, we’re delighted to welcome Sally to our team.

“We are confident that she has the leadership skillset to successfully drive our business in the Northern Europe region along with her sales team specifically in the UK, Ireland, Nordics, Benelux, as well as South and Central Africa.”

UK sales manager Vincent Eade, who was appointed in August last year, will report into Wallington.
