Visual effects shots for a 6 x 60-minute drama starring Idris Elba, about a pair of activists in 1970s London.
Create and deliver visual effects shots for a 6 x 60-minute drama starring Idris Elba, about a pair of activists in 1970s London.
How it was done
The visual effects team at BlueBolt, led by VFX supervisor Rupert Davies and VFX producer Tracy McCreary, completed more than 100 shots for the series. Digital matte paintings were created and added to replace modern structures with authentic period features. For several shots, CG trains were built and inserted to replace modern trains, further enhancing the look of 1970s London. The BlueBolt team was also tasked with enhancing practical explosions and gore. Maya was used to simulate shattering glass and flying debris.
Momoco designed the titles.
