The announcement was made at NAB. Holdan, based in Glossop in Derbyshire, began shipping Blackmagic products on Friday 18 April.
HoldAn also sells products for Panasonic, AVC, TV One. Focus Enhancements and Datavideo.
Blackmagic released a number of products at NAB but perhaps the biggest was its new Decklink HD Extreme - a more powerful version of the original capture card.
Required in order to get video into a PC, the new version has HDMI, SDI, component, NTSC, PAL and S-video capture and playback, 3 Gb/s SDI technology and 3D lookup tables. Cards cost approximately£500 each.
HoldAn sales and marketing director Allan Leonhardsen said: “This card will revolutionise the market, the picture quality they deliver at this price point just has not been available before. We have shipped around 100 cards in the last few days.”
