David Holdgate is stepping down from his role as chief executive of SIS.

Holdgate, who has been in the role for 14 years, will be replaced by chief operating officer Gary Smith.

“We have had a stunningly successful summer, with the Olympics, the Diamond Jubilee and the conclusion of our move to Salford, so it’s good time to hand over,” said Holdgate.

Holdgate will spend the next three months handing over to Smith, who will take over from the start of next year.

Smith joined SIS earlier this year from Canada’s Bell Video Group, where he was president.

SIS Holdings chairman Roger Devlin said: “David has done a great job to build SIS into the successful market leading company it is today.

“I look forward to working with Gary to develop the future profitable growth of the business.”

SIS supplies outside broadcast facilities and data services to the betting industry.
