Extensive content archive made accessible through new platform

The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) has digitised 2,500 tapes of content, capturing around 130TB of video material. Working with video management platform Imagen, it has created a new online home for its archive to make it much easier to find and use historic table tennis clips.

The project was driven by the growth of the ITTF over recent years, with new employees joining and being based all around the world. The organisation was finding it increasingly challenging to provide its editors in different locations and continents with speedy, convenient access to its video and photo archive.

The decision to make a centralised online platform through Imagen was made to enable the ITTF to continue to expand and adapt its media output to suit its changing needs.

ITTF creative manager Joachim Davy, said: “Imagen has experience working with other prominent sporting leagues and federations, so they understood the outcomes we wanted to achieve when adopting this new system.”
