Hyperactive Broadcast is supplying six Avid Media Composer workstations for BBC2’s upcoming series of Autumnwatch.

The broadcaster’s Natural History Unit (NHU) in Bristol has already taken delivery of an Avid Media Composer Nitris DX, an Avid Isis-5000 Engine 32TB and an Avid Interplay Engine as it gears up for the live shows, which begin at the end of the month.

“In terms of the scale of kit, the level of technology and the period of time the series runs for, this is one of the larger projects we work on; it is facility-scale building,” said Hyperactive business development executive Philip Vincent.

The NHU will take a further four Media Composer Nitris DX stations throughout the month, before the kit – with another Media Composer Nitris DX, two EVS XT2 Servers, three EVS IPDirector Workstations and an EVS Xfile – is moved to Inverness-shire for the live shows.
