Fifty Fifty has bought Scenarist authoring kit from Sonic Solutions. A volume deal with Drakes Avenue and Verve Pictures for Blu-Ray mastering has also been agreed and the first work to go through the new kit includes the movie Red Road (pictured).

Sally Pacy, joint managing director of Fifty Fifty, said “We’re really excited to have secured a volume feature film deal with Drakes Avenue and Verve Pictures for Blu-Ray mastering and continue our growth into HD.”

ITFC has also invested in Sonic Solutions kit, buying encoders and Scenarist authoring workstations. At the same time it has upgraded its DVD quality control department with new Blu-ray players including PS3 consoles.

Ian Beushaw, head of digital media at itfc said: “With technology continually evolving, it’s vital we keep up. Our clients were keen for us to offer Blu-ray services and this helped with our decision to invest. Once the battle for the high definition format had ended, it was the perfect opportunity to expand the services we already offered.”

ITFC’s past DVD project work includes Strictly Come Dancing, Grand Designs, Time Team and various National Geographic titles.
