Matt O’Mara named chief commercial officer of Dennis & Gnasher company

Former Vice UK chief executive Matt O’Mara is swapping young adults for kids as the first chief commercial officer of Beano Studios.
Reporting directly to chief executive Emma Scott, O’Mara’s duties will include overseeing media partnerships, IP and licensing of TV show franchises.
O’Mara left Vice in February after a decade at the company, joining in 2009 as a publisher and rising to managing director before becoming chief executive in 2017.

“I’ve spent the last decade targeting a twenty/thirty something audience, so to be working in the kids and young adults’ space is fascinating, at a time when they are exerting more influence than ever on both society and consumer spending decision-making,” said O’Mara.
“Beano Studios’ creative thinking, insight and incredible research capabilities can offer brands a significant market advantage in reaching the cohort and their parents.”
Scott hailed O’Mara’s “proven entrepreneurial and strategic drive”, adding: “Matt’s addition will be pivotal as we push into the next wave of growth.
”With Matt on board, we are moving up a gear, as we seek to help both our own audience, and businesses we partner with, by using our award-winning ‘everyday rebellion’ drive.”
