Global production powerhouses Anonymous Content and Endeavor Content have partnered on a US scripted joint-venture focused on premium drama.

The outfit will be led by Anonymous’ chief creative officer David Levine and Endeavor Content executive vice-president Joe Hipps.

Anonymous and Endeavor Content will serve as co-studios on all TV projects developed and produced through the JV. The first series being prepped is The Lazarus Files, based on the Stephanie Lazarus novel by Matthew McGough.

Its creation follows True Detective producer Anonymous’ recent expansion into international studios, including AC Federation in France and UK producer Chapter One – which is behind forthcoming Jack Thorne BBC1 disability drama Best Interests and Channel 5’s Clapperboard co-pro The Winter Child.

Last year, The Night Manager outfit Endeavor Content backed UK scripted investment vehicle The Story Company, headed by Lookout Point alumnae Damian Keogh, Helen Jackson and Simon Vaughan.

Anonymous chief exec Dawn Olmstead said: “Endeavor Content share our vision to not only push the envelope creatively, but to expand the opportunities for our creators, clients, and collaborators to bring to life exceptional stories.”

“As we see the entertainment industry continue to consolidate in so many ways, we are particularly proud to team up with another independent global studio to create premium series for audiences everywhere and look forward to all that this partnership will bring to fruition.”

Chris Rice and Graham Taylor, Endeavor Content co-chief execs added: “With Anonymous Content’s extensive creative relationships and incredible track record producing premium drama series, this new venture presents an exciting opportunity to ignite creativity with the most revered and innovative writers, directors and performers to develop prestige content.”
