Angel Eye Media invites viewers to follow Olivia and Alex Bowen’s journey
One of Love Island’s most well-known couples Olivia and Alex Bowen are inviting viewers to follow their journey as parents in a six-part series for ITV2.
Produced by Angel Eye Media, Olivia & Alex: Parenthood offers intimate access to the couple’s journey, growing their family from three to four, as well as exploring the emotional aftermath of losing one of their twins during early pregnancy.
It also aims to unpack the family’s day-to-day life from pregnancy hormones to toddler tantrums and business plans.
It is the latest reality series featuring a Love Island alumnus to be ordered by ITV2 in the past week, with Olivia Atwood landing cooking competition series The Heat from Twofour.
Olivia & Alex: Parenthood was commissioned by Amanda Stavri, commissioning editor for reality, who said the pair “captured hearts of the nation back in 2016”.
She added: “Now we get to see them in their most real and raw role yet, as full-time parents.”
Ollie Durrant will exec produce the series for Angel Eye Media, with it set to air later this year.
Earlier this week, Broadcast revealed that ITV’s Paul Mortimer, director of reality and acquisitions, was stepping down after 13 years at the company. Stavri will now move into a newly expanded team under Katie Rawcliffe.
