Joop Janssen has joined EVS as chief executive.
Janssen joins the manufacturer of live, near-live and studio TV production systems from Vitec Group.
Prior to joining Vitec, he was vice-president and general manager of Phillips Broadcast North America.
Chairman of EVS’ board of directors Pierre Rion said the company would benefit from Janssen’s experience of managing companies in a range of cultures, and his “deep knowledge” of the broadcast industry.
