Absolutely Fab-ulous returns this Friday with a new title sequence created by Jump Design. Che Guevara posters, punk record sleeves and 1980s-style magazines, such as ID, inspired the new sequence, which is a departure from previous Ab Fab titles which relied solely on the typography of the logo. Stills of Edina and Patsy were provided which were turned into black and white 'screen-printed' images. These were then animated to look fast paced, then overlaid with abstract blocks of colour against a clean white background. Design and direction was by Keith Livingstone, with compositing and editing handled by Russell Mann on After Effects. Absolutely Fabulous airs on BBC1 from 17 October.
