Gaming channel Challenge Jackpot has extended its broadcasting hours and launched a service on Sky, all done using the Kentish Town studios in London as its base.

Challenge Jackpot is a 24/7 interactive gaming channel available on digital TV, interactive television and online. It is produced by Two Way Media for Virgin Media Television.

Its association with Kentish Town Studios dates back to its original launch on 1 July 2008, when it played host to eight hours of live broadcasting every night.

Last month, the channel increased its live output to ten hours a night, broadcast online, on Virgin Media and - since 6 October - on Sky.

Simulcasts are also carried overnight on Bravo 2 and Virgin1, extending Challenge Jackpot's reach to Freeview viewers.

Operating from the 72 square-metre Studio 2, the live Challenge Jackpot output is transmitted to Sky via the BT tower, using recently upgraded facilities that include a new production gallery.

Cable viewers can use an interactive application produced by Two Way Gaming, Two Way Media's sister company, that enables them to play along with live programming on the channel.

Outside the live hosted gaming, players are able to continue playing around the clock, both on TV and on the Challenge Jackpot website via gaming servers.

Kentish Town Studios is a soundproof studio complex with playout & IPTV facilities based close to the centre of London. It works with film, video or multi-camera broadcast television clients and offers fully air-conditioned and acoustically treated sound stages.
