LipSync Post has added a host of new equipment and upgrades to its audio, VFX and DI departments.

All of its Avid Pro Tools audio systems have been upgraded to version 8 and new HD projectors have been added in each of its mixing theatres

20 Nuke licences have been bought for the VFX department to be used for all 2D compositing work and the in-house render farm has been upped by 30%.

At the same time LipSync’s DI department is getting new 3D software that will be made available on its two Quantel Pablo suites and its Quantel iQ suite.

JVC 3D monitoring has also been installed.

LipSync Group managing director Jon Diamond said: “We are welcoming both returning clients and new business to LipSync, and have a very healthy roster of current and future film and television work even in these gloomy times. This investment underlines our commitment to remain at the forefront of the UK post market.”

LipSync credits include the Ian Dury film Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll (pictured).
