The service, which is available to users of Oranges's 3G network and initially only to those with a Nokia 6680 phone, will offer users nine channels of content from Monday.
They include: ITN News, Celebrity Love Island, CNN, Big Brother, Comedy Time, Cartoon Network, Toon World, Fashion TV and extreme sports.
Orange will offer the service free for a month's trial and then charge users£10 a month to download up to 20 hours of footage from the nine channels each month.
Orange is the first network to offer such a service in the UK. It currently offers 23 TV channels over mobile phones in France.
