Brief Post-production on the five-part series in which Dr M Sanjayan explores the frontiers where man and animal meet.
How it was done Onsight provided picture post over several months, using Avid for the offline edit, Final Cut Pro for the online edit, and Mistika for the grade, QC and international deliverables.
Senior colourist Andy Lee created a contemporary look that was sensitive to the natural landscapes from the Steppe of Russia to the Grand Canyon in the US. He balanced the shots from different times, days and locations with archive footage, and enhanced the contrast of the natural and human worlds. The Onsight team reversioned the series for PBS and National Geographic. Halo completed the audio post.
