Brief Picture and audio post-production of Greg Davies’ 6 x 30-minute sitcom.
How it was done Colourist Joe Stabb was keen to make Man Down enticing without stripping away any of its dark humour.
Stabb kept the costumes rich and the characters colourful by giving the show a brassy edge.
Working in Nucoda Filmmaster, he used iKeyer and RGB Curves for greater colour isolation.
The characters’ slightest reactions were crucial, so refined shading was used.
Dubbing mixer Matt Baird took a methodical approach to building up and laying the foundations of the sound.
He created the audio mix using Avid Pro Tools 10 and a 16-fader System 5-MC console.
