Satellite children's channel Fox Kids UK is filming a new low-budget 25 x 2-minute interstitial series called VWF (Vegetable Wrestling Federation), shot entirely on mini-DV using a Canon XL1. It will be edited using Final Cut Pro on a Mac and then brought into an online suite and transferred to digi-beta for transmission. Fox Kids Europe head of promotions Gary Fabbri said: 'This method of filming allows for the most versatility for the least price and seems to be the direction that a lot of low-budget filming projects are taking.' The interstitial series airs from September
