Molinare and Flix have formed a “strategic and creative alliance” that could see work passed between the firms’ London and Manchester facilities.

The post-production companies have pledged to share technical and creative resources in a bid to “bridge the regional gap and allow for a bespoke, seamless workflow”.

Flix provides audio and picture post as well as animation services from four facilities; in the White Tower at MediaCityUK, immediately opposite the MediaCityUK campus, in central Manchester and at the Space Project production facility.

Soho-based Molinare specialises in post-production for films and drama productions.

Molinare managing director Julie Parmenter said: “We want to offer our clients the best service we can, wherever they need to work.

“The importance of Manchester cannot be underestimated, and with Flix’s reputation and excellent facilities, they were the obvious partner for us.”

Flix managing director Leo Casserly added: “We are very excited to be partnering with Molinare, with both companies now being able to offer a seamless end-to-end post-production solution between London and Manchester, giving clients ultimate flexibility in how and where they want to tailor their post.

“The management teams at both Flix and Molinare share a clear vision and similar values which were key elements in the creation of the partnership between the two companies.”
