Gravity Media Group, the owner of Gearhouse Broadcast and outside broadcast company 021 Television, has promoted group technical director Kevin Moorhouse to the role of chief operating officer.

In his new role Moorhouse will have responsibility for all day-to-day operations of the international broadcast services company.

The move takes effect from 2 March 2009. Moorhouse will be based in the Group's UK head office. Gravity's previous COO was Warren Newbert.

Chief executive John Newton said: “Kevin has worked with the group for twelve years and has considerable experience in the broadcast sector, particularly in the delivery of technical facilities to major international live events such as the Olympic Games and the Football World Cup.”

Meanwhile, Gearhouse Broadcast managing director Eamonn Dowdall has joined the Gravity Media Group board and been appointed as business development director. His new role will be fulfilled alongside his existing responsibilities.
