MPC has hired industry stalwart Julian Levi as executive producer to represent MPC Film after Drew Jones decided to join Ascent Media owned Method Studios as a film executive producer.

Levi’s focus will be business development for the visual effects company. He will be based in LA and act as an Ambassador for the company and a conduit for projects to the London and Vancouver offices.

Prior to MPC, Levi (pictured) worked at Digital Domain in the role of senior VFX producer.

His credits include Transformers; Revenge of the Fallen, Star Trek and Speed Racer. He won a VES Award for Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects for Flags of our Fathers in 2007.

Jones, who started his new job this week, will be based at Method Studios’ new Soho office from where he straddle the US company’s VFX offices in LA and New York.

Jones said: “After two innings and many great years with MPC I have been offered an opportunity which I have found difficult to resist.”
