At Home With the Furys indie Optomen to reveal personal story of boxer

Netflix is to produce a feature length documentary telling the personal story of boxer Tyson Fury.

All3Media label Optomen will produce the doc Fury (w/t) months after landing a second series of ob doc At Home With the Furys, with full access to Tyson’s family including his wife and children.

Following his retirement this year, the doc will reveal how the 37-year-old heavyweight champion from Manchester battled personal struggles including addiction and mental health issues to achieve a remarkable comeback, with access to his inner circle and never-seen-before footage.

Production has begun on the doc which will be directed by Lucy Wilcox (The Undercover Police Scandal: Love & Lies Exposed) and the exec producer is George Waldrum (The Twister: Caught in the Storm). The creative directors are Nick Hornby and Tina Flintoff.

Netflix has previously spotlighted sports stars in titles including Pelé (Pitch Productions), Naomi Osaka (Film 45, Uninterrupted) and Schumacher (B14 Film).
